Ashtanga Yoga for Beginners – Level 1–2

Introduction to Ashtanga yoga – your entry to the world of Ashtanga yoga, one of the most popular methods of yoga practice in the world!

Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is the most dynamic of yoga techniques, combining deep familiarity with a series of asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises). The practice consists of performing a fixed series of asanas while focusing on the breath, which leads to relaxation of the mind and, in more advanced stages, to the release of energetic blocks that are manifested in physical and emotional problems. Ashtanga yoga is suitable for those who are willing to sweat, but mostly for those who wish to gain deep knowledge of the principles of the Ashtanga method without renouncing precision in postures and anatomical alignment principles.

This class is recommended to new students and to those with some experience.
Students who are not yet familiar with the method will benefit from a chance to study the Ashtanga technique deeply and thoroughly, whereas more experienced students will be able to take advantage of the personal attention and detailed work to refresh and improve their command of the asanas, which is necessary in order to move to more advanced stages of the practice.

In this introductory class we invite you to practice at a slow pace, with personal attention and particular emphasis on the precise performance of asanas. The class is configured to fit with the level of the participants and is suitable for people of all ages, including women at any stage of pregnancy.
